In December, 2005, just a few days before
Christmas, a collector on Glasslinks reported seeing these new very
sparkly ornaments at a Nordstrom's store in California. Curious,
and ever watchful for new ornament lines, I did some googling, and I
discovered what the collector was talking about: Glitterazzi!
So, I tracked the ornaments down, particularly seeking the Nordstrom's
exclusive Piano Santa, and found them in the Seattle area. When
the ornaments arrived, it was love at first sight! In the words of
Joy to the World (the company which produces the ornaments) founder and
creative genius, Lisa Kelechava, these ornaments had plenty of "bling"!
And, so, I have become a Glitterazzi collector and, I guess, spokesperson to other collectors who have been converted to the fold. Glitterazzi is a hot and ever expanding collectible line, particularly with the continual addition of exclusives for retailers across the U.S. and in Great Britain. My collection is growing, but I am focusing primarily on Santa molds. Other designs, for snowmen, angels, Christmas trees, and balls are available.
